The Origin of
     The Tim Bar Seminar Series

For those or you who like personal, down-home-style stories, I'll share with you how the Tim Bar Seminar Series came to be.   For the rest of you, you'll probably want to skip this page.

But, if you do skip this page, you'll go into the Theta Healing / Theta Transformation phase of our learning process without understanding the context in which the training is offered and without an understanding of how, where and why to apply it to your life.

Here's the essence of this page in two Paragraphs:

For most people, the behavior patterns that got imprinted into their minds when they were  young children  dominate their lives as adults.   I was somehow imprinted with the  innate urge to search for and find the truth about things.   As a result, I am always taking things apart to see how they work, asking irreverent questions, looking for the lost treasure, and seeking the sources of stories and beliefs.

My story is uniquely relevant to you because not only will it give you an understanding of childhood imprinting, it will assist you in finding your own, childhood imprints.  The reason that we look for these imprints is because many of them are irrational, illogical and no longer serve us.    Many of them actually stand between where we are and where we want to be.   And we cannot get rid of them if we don't know we have them.

The Truth:

When I refer to "The Truth,"  I am referring to a relative truth.  Why?   Because while stuck in our limiting human bodies, it's literally impossible for any of us  to know all there is to know about anything.   Thus, everything is relative.   "All truths are only partial truths."

As your guide, I'll take you along the path I followed to get to a grander picture of reality than most of my fellow humans.   Our focus will be in two primary areas  --  the two areas in which we, as humans, so easily get lost in illusions.

The first is money.   Humans are so thoroughly controlled by false beliefs and destructive illusions  regarding The Energy Force We Call Money that the entire world is ruled, first and foremost, by edicts set forth by "The Great God:  Money."

The second area where we are stuck in the quagmire of illusion is regarding our beliefs  about who and what a human being actually is and  about the nature of the universe and how it functions.   Spiritual questions (questions about the nature of man, the universe, and its source)  have no absolute answers, but unfortunately,  millions of people believe they do and live their lives as if their theory about what's real and what isn't were the unequivocal truth, itself.   I'll offer you both the ancient and the most current theories in this regard.   Then you can decide for yourself, how to live your own life.

.

The page below sets the stage for finding the Truth.

Timothy Barnabas Barnum    a. k. a.   Tim Bar

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Tim Bar.   I was christened  with the name Timothy  Barnabas  Barnum.   But I like and have used  the shorter version, Tim Bar,  since I was twelve years old.   I've done this for three reasons.   First, because it sounds like the call loggers used to yell when a tree that they were cutting down was about to fall:  "Timber!"   Second, because people rarely forget my name and, in high school, I played up its cuteness and its implications and that was very helpful in relating to girls.   Now that I'm an adult, the name recognition factor is its major benefit.

My great-great-great grandfather was the famous circus showman of the late 1800's, P. T. Barnum.   I'm sure you've heard his well-known quote  "There's a sucker born every minute."    As you probably know,  he was  right in his day, and his statement is just as true today as it was in my great-great-great grandfather's days.

Well, I'm not looking for naive or gullible people to take advantage of.    Let me say this again, there are no bad guys.   We've all been filled with obsolete and limiting beliefs.

The issue is not about judging others and claiming superiority.   It's about finding the truth and clearing out the beliefs that limit us.   I'm looking for the truth about why some people get their minds programmed to believe thing that defy logic and deny reason; why some people ignore common sense, and what causes people to  get duped by men like my Grandpa P. T.

The Truth Seeker

Some say I'm the reincarnation of "Grandpa P. T."   I suspect that they are right, but I don't pay much attention to that, because it really doesn't matter to me.   What does matter is my innate urge to search for and find the truth about things.   I've had this drive for as long as I can remember.   As a kid, I used to get into trouble for taking things apart to see how they worked.   To avoid the heavy, leather belt that my dad was fond of using to, in his words, "straighten me out," I stopped taking physical things apart and, instead, started pretending I was a real, live, Sherlock Holmes cracking cases.   The Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause were the first illusions  to fall.

One evening I brought a box to the dinner table and announced to my parents that I was about to send my portion of spinach and lima beans  to all those starving kids in India that mom was so fond of invoking in futile attempt to get me like and  eat detested foods.   That didn't make me very popular, either, so I became a recluse to my family and, instead, went out into the world searching for the truth, wherever I could find it.    I started to focus my search by looking  into the commonly accepted beliefs and stories.

The Cherry Tree Hoax

One day at school the teacher had us read about George Washington.   One of the  stories was about young George when he got a new hatchet, and in trying out his woodsman's tool, he chopped down his father's cherry tree.   When confronted with the downed tree by his father, George is reported to have replied,   "Father, I cannot tell a lie.   Yes, I did chop down the cherry tree."   According to the story, young George didn't get whipped with a heavy, leather belt or even punished for cutting down his father's cherry tree because he told the truth.   I decided to present this story to my dad and ask that he be like the father of the father of our country.

In my quest for the truth,  I started searching for the details, like what was the date of this incident, where did this happen,  and how old was George when he committed his dastardly deed.   To my shock and surprise, there were no details.   There was one tiny little fact about this story that my teacher had left out.   The George Washington cherry tree story is a lie.   It's a fabrication, a fake, a farce, a fraud, an outright  sham.   The story is completely untrue.   Contrary to popular mythology, George Washington did not cut down a cherry tree.

I went back to my teacher and said,  "Why are you using a lie to teach us about telling the truth?"   She was embarrassed, but actually retracted the story and apologized to the class.    This  success was a huge inspiration to me.

Lies of Commission Versus Lies of Omission

Following the cherry tree incident, I got to thinking about how the absence of  critically important pieces of information can affect  people's lives.   I soon realized how easy it is to simply avoid the truth and, thereby,  give a false impression.   I also realized how easy it is to use lies of omission to manipulate someone else's behavior --  to use lies of omission to get someone to act or behave in a manner that is contrary to their own best interest.

One can lie by saying nothing.   One can lie by withholding vital information --  by looking the other way  --  and/or by simply ignoring the truth.

It didn't take long for me to "see the other side of this coin."   I soon realized that lies of omission are quite acceptable in our society, sometimes even encouraged.   Rarely are those who deceive by silence caught in their deception,  and more rare still, are there any negative consequences to those who lie by omission.   When there are consequences, those consequences are usually about as severe as "a slap on the wrist."

On the other hand,  lies of commission are considered extremely bad, and often, those caught in a lie of commission, sometimes even in a small lie, are severely punished.   Punishment for lies of commission can be as sever as a long prison term or even an attempted presidential impeachment.

The strangest thing about both types of lie is that liars often get caught up in their own lies.   For an in-depth discussion of lies of omission, readers are directed to the page titled:  The Biggest Lie About Lies.'

.

When you think about the truth  for a moment, you'll soon realize that where critically important pieces of  information are missing, serious problems commonly  fill in the void.   Lack of accurate information is one of the biggest factors in why humanity is in such a deadly serious predicament today.

Editor's Note:
You may be saying, "Yes, but I can come back and take the second choice later.   Here's a reality check on that reasoning:  If and when you do come back, the second choice will be different from what  it is right now.  Also, you will be different, and as a result, the message will have a different meaning to you, and these differences will alter your life.

But, we are getting way ahead of ourselves.   This will make much more sense after you've been introduced to the distinctions between the illusion of an objective, external reality and what the evidence tells us about infinite possibilities.
