Traditional Religion -- learning to participate in a traditional religion is like going to grammar school. You begin to play at life on Earth but you really have no idea what's actually going on. Regarding traditional religious beliefs, no matter which religion a person learned, the source of those beliefs is almost always what that person learned from his/her parents. The parents learned their religious beliefs from their parents, who learned it from their parents, who learned it from their parents, et cetera, et cetera -- in some cases going back a thousand years. Many people have simply accepted their parent's beliefs about life and the nature of the universe without questioning the accuracy or validity of those beliefs.

"The Secret" -- watching the video, "The Secret" is like going to high school -- You get a basic survival-level education. You begin to wake up and realize there is a world out there that you didn't know before, and there's a way to interact with it. Viewing "The Secret" is a valuable start in seeing a bigger picture of life and reality, but you still have no real specialized knowledge and all but no experience. "What the Bleep Do We Know" and "Down the Rabbit Hole" -- These two, excellent videos are like going to college. They take viewers well beyond anything "The Secret" has to offer. They give viewers a big-time wake-up call. You realize that the world is not as you have been led to believe it is by those who claim to know. You realize you have been making irreversible, life-altering decisions based on false, incomplete, or intentionally deceptive information. Review of "The Secret"

The Video, "The Secret," is an excellent beginning; however, there are some significant misleading implications and some even more significant omissions.

The rules of reality (the rules for intentionally re-creating your life) are much bigger than simply sitting around making positive affirmations. Those of us who have been on the self-transformation path for decades can attest to this.

Relying on "The Secret," to change your life is like going to a restaurant, ordering dinner, and the waiter brings you a salad only. It's nice but there's a lot more to dinner than just a salad. So it is with "The Secret." It's a nice appetizer, but where's dinner.

When you listen closely to what the experts say, the real message in this video is: "CORRECTLY USING the law of attraction will change your life." Unfortunately for its viewers, The Secret is infinitely quiet in the "How to. . ." department. Ok, now that I have this wonderful tool, what do I do with it? How do I use it?

In terms of it's effectiveness at personal transformation, it's grossly incomplete. It's an excellent wakeup call, but has little to offer beyond that.
